Hotel "Srpski kralj" was a prominent establishment in Belgrade, located at the corner of Uzun Mirkova and Pariska streets, near Kalemegdan Park. Constructed in the 1860s, it quickly became a favored spot for the city's elite. In the early 20th century, the Vračarska Cooperative acquired the hotel from the Veljković family, adding two floors and enhancing its amenities. The renovated hotel boasted 100 rooms, several royal suites, multiple restaurants and bars, and a grand dining room with a terrace overlooking Kalemegdan. Each room was equipped with modern conveniences, including hot and cold running water. The hotel's reputation for excellence was largely due to its manager, Edvard Frankl, who personally sourced fresh produce from local markets to ensure top-quality cuisine. Tragically, on April 6, 1941, during the German bombing of Belgrade in World War II, Hotel "Srpski kralj" was destroyed.
